Associate and surgeon set up
To set up associates you work with, go to the associate tab.
Use the + button to add new.
Fill out as many fields as you can.
Address, fax and email are especially important to allow smooth communication between you and your associates. If you fill out these fields you will be able to easily print, mail, fax or email reports to other doctors you work with.
Doctors you need to use for referring physicians in the claim window need to be marked in the list view under the "box 17" column.
Use the 2 blue icons to toggle between details view and list view. Only doctors you use as referring physicians need this box marked. For optometrists this is usually only yourself. Some insurances (mainly Medicare) require a referring physician even if it's just yourself.
They will show up in the claims window
To add an associate to your surgeon list go to the associate in detail view.
Click the + sign to add the Dr to your surgeon drop down list. Adding an associate as a surgeon will allow you to easily create co management reports and communicate with the surgeon.
