How do I run reports on the fly?
Click bottom left icon for more tools
Click "Find" at the top
Enter find criteria (you may find on any field or combination of fields). Then click "Perform Find".
In this example Medicare.
Notice how many were found (in this case 968 of 35,756 patients). You could switch to the list view to see a list
Or, same thing for how many patients wear "Avaira" contact lenses?
In find mode enter "Avaira" then hit "Perform Find"
Next, how many patients have EVER worn "Avaira" contact lenses?
The PATIENT window (one per patient) shows the most recent RX. The TRANS file (many per patient) shows past RX.
You may find on contact lenses in the TRANS file and apply the flag to the patient file
Flag the PATIENT records in the TRANS file (many to one)
Click on the Flag/Mod tab in the transaction window and enter a flat intothe patient flag field. You may choose anything to put in this field. Then you want to enter this flag into all the records you have pulled up. This currently must be done manually by using the "Replace" command (top menu > records > replace field contents)
Click the PATIENT tab > right click (control click on Mac) > Find Matching Records
This will list all patients who have ever worn Avaira.
