How do I create my own report?

One example of the many possible custom reports that you can dream up and perform "on the fly." Native FileMaker features can be used.

Many common reports have buttons (like "Find Patient Miner List" or "Export Patient Miner" below).

You can create your own "Find" on any combination of Fields. There are some examples below. You may also hit F1 and search on "Find" for more tips on complex find options.

You can access native FileMaker tools by clicking the "Status Toolbar" toggle button (bottom left). Or top menu > VIEW > STATUS TOOL BAR

You can click it again to toggle it closed. (FileMaker version 8 and 9 opens on the left rather than above)

After you click FIND 1- Enter the date range (OD Link automatically converts "9/2011" to a date range)  2- Click PREFORM FIND

Reports can be created on any data field.

Example: Find PATIENTS who have responded to recall.

1. PATIENT window

2. List view (arrows)

3. Click on Browse and click on the word Find in the list (circle).  

The fields will all go blank, as shown above, so you can type in the data field you are interested in searching on.

Enter "Last Exam" date greater than or equal to (>=9/2009) and the recall sent date (9/2009). This will show the Patients who came in.
