How do I find reports on what has been sold?

List items sold summarized by categories for any date range.

Enter a date range.  It is optional to filter by a specific Category or Location.

To refine any list, you can "right click" on the mouse for a menu of options.  On a Mac, press "Control" and click.

For example right click on the date field and go down the list to "Constrain Found Set" to reduce the list to a specific date or the same for any Category code.  You can do this on any field.  Or you can Sort Ascending or Sort Descending by right clicking on any field.

After the Find, use one of the "Summarize By" buttons.  This is an example of "General."  Summaries by "Primary Category" and "Code" are more detailed.

Press continue (1) when you are done viewing the report.  You can also print (2) or save as pdf (3).

Following the Find, you can follow the above steps for Summaries.

Note that categories for items come from the Fees tab and you can change categories for an ITEM in here (the pull down value list will be updated automatically)

General categories start with the same first letter: E-exams, C-contacts, L-lenses (glasses), F-Frame.  Keep the first letter and add more detail if you want more specific categories. In this example Em (medical exam) VF (fields)

If you want, you could go back and change categories for old STATS to make your reports more consistant for past months or years

Click on any item from the list and change the category or code.  This would replace that single record, to replace all records for a found set see the next step.

To replace all (make sure you have a BACKUP because you cannot  "un-do", or let us do it for you)

1.  Find the list you want to work with/change.

2.  Click on the field you want to change and make the change.  Keep your cursor in the field.

3. Go to the very top menu RECORDS > "Replace Field Contents"  this warning will help you make sure the correct set of records is being modified (you can use flags to help)

4. Click "Replace".  Every record in your list will be replaced.
